We have finally decided on a name for Bob. He will officially be known as "Eclipse JJJ First of All".

5/27/2006 - 5/28/2006: Bob is home
The new Pointer puppy, Bob, made the trip home from Ashland City, Tennessee in fine fashion. He never had an accident and only serenaded me occasionally. He is just as handsome in person as in his pictures and we look forward to watching him grow up.

5/21/2006: New Puppy at Elwing
It looks as though there will be a new puppy coming to Elwing. A pointer puppy (currently known as "Big Orange Boy" or BOB) bred by June & Johnny Johnston & Cynthia T. Lane will be coming to Elwing on Memorial day. And to think, if I had not met June in a rest area in New Mexico on the way to the Shorthair national, I would never have found Bob.

5/1/2006 - 5/6/2006: GSPCA National Specialty
A great time was had by all at the National (as usual.) It was great seeing old friends and making new ones. The margarita party was a bit different this year, with everyone drinking out of the toilet bowl. A new addition to the festivities was the water luge event. It had to be seen to be believed.

11/17/2005: Earlene has a new home
Earlene has a new home with Lani and Tom Herrli of London, Ohio. She has fit right in, but is missed here. The Herrli's also own her brother, Tucker.

GSP: Earlene (Ch Sonnenschein's Early Edition) won Best of Breed in tough competition.

6/30/2005 - 7/3/2005: Oklahoma City Cluster
Pointer: Giggles (Ch Equinoxx Elwing Mutual Fun) came out of retirement to participate in the Veterans class at the OKC cluster. She won the class all 4 days and was second in Veterans Sweeps at the APC supported entry.

5/8/2005 - 5/8/2005: GSPCA Supported Entry
GSP: Earlene won Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed at the GSPCA Supported entry. The specialty was held in conjunction with the St. Louis Dog Breeders Association all-breed dog show.

11/11/2004 - 11/12/2004: New Champion!
GSP: Earlene finished her championship in Columbus, Ohio going Winners Bitch two days in a row. The last win was for her third major. Wow, what a thrill. I wish that I had been there to enjoy it. Congratulations to her brother, owned and shown by Tami Caruso, who also finished at the same show.

10/31/2004 - 10/31/2004: It's a Veteran!
Pointer: Giggles (Ch Equinoxx Elwing Mutual Fun) celebrated her 7th birthday by showing in the Veteran's class at the Bartlesville KC show in Tulsa. And oh, by the way, she thoroughly enjoyed herself.

10/29/2004 - 10/31/2004: Tulsa Cluster
GSP: Earlene had a nice weekend in Tulsa, going Winners Bitch all three days. She also won Best of Breed on Friday and Sunday. Sunday's win was over a special. Thanks to professional handler, Brenda Lee Combs, who showed her on Friday and Sunday.
